Airstream with Volta: “Words cannot fully describe”

A customer success story from Joe, who has an Airstream Interstate retrofitted with a Volta system:

“It has been several months since I drove away from snowy Holland with my Volta-equipped Airstream Interstate.

Words can not fully describe the impact that this system has had on the overall utility of the RV. Previously, we were always concerned about where we can stop for the night or even for lunch or a snack on the road. Stopping would always revolve around determining how much power you had available for the heater, lights, TVs, let alone the big consumers like the A/C or microwave. It frankly wasn’t much fun to go through the process of finding someplace that you could start the generator, wait for it to sync up, then cool down or heat up the cabin, then make lunch or whatever.

Also, unless you ran the generator full-time, the cabin of the RV was almost useless in the summer heat while traveling. And, of course, running the noisy generator is always a pain from the vibration, exhaust smell, and NOISE.

“All of that is behind us now.

We have really put the Volta system through its paces over the summer, especially in this heat. Due to some health issues with our family in Oklahoma, we have spent several weeks there. I have used the RV as my home away from home, office on wheels, man-cave, and more almost nonstop. I can’t begin to describe how nice it is to sit in a parking lot with the heat index well over 100 degrees (sometimes over 110) and enjoying a fully air-conditioned ‘room.’ Needless to say, you can’t run a generator in a hospital or nursing home parking lot!

The biggest secret in the RV world is that the whole experience revolves around power. If you don’t have power, an RV is just an aluminum tent. Volta gives you access to the RV experience you always imagined.

Joe, Volta Equiped AirStream Owner

“What I find most amazing is the recharge time for the battery pack.

Even a short drive across town running an errand would put significant power back in the pack to keep me going. I had several days (with the actual temp above 100) when the A/C load was almost continuous, and the auto-restart would kick in to charge the pack. All worked flawlessly.

As I mentioned, the ‘over the road’ driving experience is completely different than prior to the conversion. We now run the A/C full time so we have access to the entire RV while driving in total comfort. We don’t have to worry about the refrigerator or freezer running out of power and spoiling all of the food. We can stop virtually anywhere for a few hours of rest.

All in all, we can not be happier than we are with the conversion. What I can say is that the Volta Power System installed on my RV has provided the path for us to use the vehicle like it was intended. We would NEVER go back.

The biggest secret in the RV world is that the whole experience revolves around power. If you don’t have power, an RV is just an aluminum tent. Volta gives you access to the RV experience you always imagined.

Sincerely,

Joe
